Jim Waechter Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Sophmore/Junior/Senior
Area of Interest: Theatre

Criteria:

The recipient shall be majoring in Drama. He/she shall show that he/she is deserving of a scholarship and must indicate probable success.

James Waechter was born in North Platte, Neb., and graduated from Chadron State College with a bachelor of science degree in speech and drama. He then received his master of arts degree in theatre art. He was a professional actor and taught in schools in Nebraska and Florida. Jim was a speech and drama teacher at Alliance High School from 1969-72, and his wife, Connie, taught speech and drama at St. Agnes Academy during that time.
