Recipients shall be worthy students who demontstrate a GPA of at least 3.0

Ralph and Judi (Johnson) Hale grew up in Nebraska. Judi was raised in Chadron while Ralph came from Scottsbluff. They met while attending Chadron State College. They taught for one year at Hyannis High School before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada to teach. Ralph passed away in 2004 and Judi in 2011. They had no children and bequeathed their assets and that of their parents to CSC to establish the Hale/Johnson/Driscoll Memorial Scholarship. The endowment enables future students to become teachers and leaders - following in Judi and Ralph's legacy. A book of their family history and life is available at the Chadron State College Alumni office for recipients of this scholarship to view.
