Dr. Alex Laudenklos Health Professions Scholarship

Eligibility: Upper classman (over 30 credit hours)
Area of Interest: Health Professions Club

Criteria:

The scholarship(s) shall be awarded to upper classman (over 30 credit hours) in the health professions club, with plans of pursuing a doctorate degree i.e. MD, PharmD, DDS, DPT, with a minimum 3.75 GPA.

Alex was raised in Monroe, NE and attended Chadron State College from 2004-2008.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology with the intent to apply to and attend medical school.  Alex then attended the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and received his Doctorate of Medicine.  He also obtained a Master’s of Public Health from Benedictine University.  He completed his OB/GYN residency with Creighton University College of Medicine, and began practicing at Faith Regional Physician Services in Norfolk, NE.  The scholarships he was fortunate enough to receive during his studies at Chadron State College helped him to reduce the amount of debt moving into professional school, and he hopes that his scholarship can help students pursuing advanced degrees to do the same.  The preparation he received at CSC was a key factor in his success in both being accepted into medical school, but also getting through his entire journey.  He hopes this scholarship can help other individuals in their journey to a career of helping others.
