Brandon J. Trent Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Sophmore/Junior/Senior
Area of Interest: Agribusiness

Criteria:

First preference will be given to a Fall River or Custer County student and who is majoring in Ag-Business. Second preference shall be given to any Fall River or Custer County student.

Brandon J. Trent was preparing to enter his third semester of classes at Chadron State College where he was planning to go into the field of agricultural business when he was killed in a ranch related ATV accident on August 7, 1997. Brandon grew up with his two brothers on the family ranch near Oelrichs, S.D. Brandon loved working on the ranch, working with the cattle and helping with wheat harvest. He enjoyed being around people of all ages and seemed to have a special connection with young children and the elderly.
