Blanche Sandoz Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

The recipient must be a high school graduate and show evidence that the he/she is capable of doing satisfactory work in college. Scholarship will be an important factor and need will be considered. He/she shall be majoring in Family & Consumer Sciences.

Blanche Ridnour Sandoz was born in Iowa and came to Seneca, Neb., with her family, where they struggled to become ranchers. After she married Fritz Sandoz, son of Old Jules Sandoz, they acquired a ranch and a reputation for entertaining many people. She also regretted not having an education, so a scholarship was established in her own name.
