Albert O. "Ole" Fox Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Sophomore/Junior/Senior
Area of Interest: Mathematics

Criteria:

Recipients shall be majoring or minoring in Mathematics. They shall have a GPA of at least 3.0.


Ole was born April 11, 1925 in Livermore, Iowa. After graduation from high school in 1943, he joined the Navy, serving as a radio operator in the Azure Islands during WWII. He received degrees from Kearney State College, University of Nebraska, and New Mexico Highlands. He also did graduate work at the University of Kansas, University of Alaska and Michigan Tech. He was an administrator of public schools for 10 years. The next 25 years he was a member of the Math Department at Chadron State College, retiring in 1986. Ole's hobbies were hunting, fishing and restoring antique furniture.
