The planetarium is available for showings by reservation. Operating dates are September 1 through December 1, and February 1 through April 30. The planetarium can service groups of 8-39 people. If your group is larger, we can provide multiple shows for your audience. Please check out our resources and shows, and make your reservation today. We ask that reservations be made at least two weeks in advance. A full show includes a guided lecture tour of the Solar System as well as a movie experience. These will typically last 45 minutes.

Scholastic Visits

The Dr. Lois Veath Planetarium offers astronomy programs for all grades and age groups from preschool through college level. Public, private, and homeschooling groups are welcome. School programs are specially scheduled events and are limited by the availability of our personnel to present them. Please review the available shows and select the one that best serves your needs and grade level. Our curriculum has expanded and now spans astronomy, earth science, and some history.

Free Fridays

Free Fridays are first come, first served shows that are open to the public. These events cannot be reserved. We try to cycle through the shows but as we are learning and growing our collection of shows, we ask for your patience. If there are two shows in a row, they will always be the same show to try to accommodate the most people we can. All shows will be appropriate for a general audience. The entire program will take between 30-45 minutes. As possible, we will include a narrated guide to the night sky prior to the movie.
