Clincial Perfusion
Clinical Perfusion provides an opportunity for those individuals wishing to pursue a career in extracorporeal technology. Perfusionists participate in a number of diverse procedures that involve extracorporeal circulation, cardiopulmonary bypass, and blood conservation. The perfusionist is also involved in many other associated hospital services.
To pursue a career in clinical perfusion, one must first complete a bachelor's degree -- preferably with a emphasis in biology and chemistry -- to be eligible for admission to an appropriate master's program.
